Designer Bettie Cott recently moved from Toronto, Ontario, where she was the owner and principal designer of her own furniture design studio, to San Francisco, California to join the Coalesse Design Studio. In her blog post, below, Bettie gives us a look into what inspires her design work and a few of her favorite things.

What’s your favorite place to work? The Coalesse San Francisco office. I love coming here every day.

What’s your favorite thing about fall? The smell. Not too hard on the eyes either.

What’s your favorite article of clothing? It's definitely a toss-up between my Kowtow Method Face pants and what I like to call my trench coat blazer. They really vibe with my preppy-weirdo style.

What’s your favorite artwork? Anything by Winnie Truong. Focusing on hair, Winnie creates the most incredibly stunning pencil crayon drawings.
