Frank Lloyd Wright’s Gordon House

The Gordon House Conservancy and University of Oregon’s School of Architecture and Allied Arts have invited Robert McCarter, noted author, to speak about houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.  “The Evolution of the American House” will address Wright’s domestic work from his first Golden Age of the Prairie House through the Textile Block experiment and to the Usonian simplicity of Oregon’s Gordon House.  McCarter comes to us straight from the Speed Museum in Louisville, Kentucky and the St. Louis Art Museum where he spoke to filled auditoriums.  Professor McCarter is usually found at the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design,College of Architecture at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Refreshments, networking, and a surprising drawing will help you wind down at the end of the week.  Pay $25 per ticket or invite your whole office or department and have a party for 12 for $250.  To buy tickets, make reservations, and obtain more information call 503.874.6006 or visit TheGordonHouse.org.  Students with school ID cards are free. Make early reservations and payment by Saturday, April 12, to get two extra raffle tickets.
